Took the car in yesterday for 1st service(17000 miles)..when I collected on PM was told will need a set of tyres(rears at 1.5-2.0mm/fronts at 2.0mm)....CAN"T BELIEVE IT.....I carry in boot catologues & mostly do motorway miles..Dealer said would speak to Skoda/Dunlop about wear on tyres in short miles-but not holding my breath.......

Getting set fitted on Friday-the best make is..........

Just taken mine into KwikFit today to try to get new tyres on the front.

Done 19k and the thing is sliding around all over the place.

Unfortunately only about two thirds worn so the lease company wont change them.

Got Bridgestones on and the KwikFit manager says they are absolute rubbish in the damp and they refuse to fit them.

Looks like Ill have to wait a bit longer for some decent Dunlops.

just found out i need 2 new tyres for mine :(

where should u put 2 new tyres on a 4wd? back?

For permanent 4 wheel drive you should technically replace all 4 together! If you're just doing 2, I'd personally put the new ones on the front as they'll be wearing faster than the ones on the back....

eek 4 235/40R18 tyres aint going to be cheap

in that case, put them on the back, that way you'll only ever have to change 2 at a time... hopefully!!

And as for tyre wear... Pirelli PZero Rosso in 225/40ZR18 fit, 4500 miles on the front... no track days or twisty routes!! That was barely 2 months worth :(
