Featured Replies

Hi-its time to change the timing belt and water pump again on my vrs tfsi , right on xmas as well and I just remembered today. Anybody know of any good deals or offers on at any of the main dealers or good independent garages in or around sunderland, Four years ago it cost me £350 from seat.

got a good price from vw in sunderland £339 if anybody is interested

That seems about right. As that will include the water pump also

Sent from my Galaxy S5

Good price. It all comes in at around £450 here (south coast) for a diesel.

I`m getting mine done in a few days, including water pump, alternator belt, and brake fluid change for £380 at a garage near me. Did`nt think that was too bad.

The timing belt & water pump on my chuggy little 1.6 MPI were replaced at 72k and the garage said the belt will need doing again at 102k..... 30k miles for another cambelt doesn't seem that long at all! Surely it should last a bit longer seeing as the original did 72k miles?
