Unlock all doors with kessy

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have kessy and the door unlock set up to just the individual door. When I open the car by pressing the key fob unlock button I can press twice to unlock all the doors. Is it possible to grab the handle twice o something like that to unlock all doors (using kessy). I think this works on a Golf mk7, and I haven't been able to make it work on the Fabia.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

To sort this it will be either

A setting in the MFD to unlock all when you either open the door / press the button (which it is in my Yeti)

OR

A quick trip to the dealers for them to plug in their machine to change the setting in the ECU. ( if they are decent they should NOT charge to do this).

Hope this helps

Yep - it doesn't do it with KESSY - the double-press is only possible with the key-fob.

I think it is still the case with the Fabia that a number of the settings configurable on the Octavia and other larger cars cannot be done on the Fabia.

A number of the tweaks require VCDS. Given its just firmware I dont really understand why they continue to handicap the Fabia like that.

VW is similar though....i really like the alarm chirp on the Octavia I have but without VCDS its not possible to have it activated on the Golf I now also run....even the dealer couldnt do it...probably because the tech that looked at it either didnt have access to VCDS. VAS (the dealer system) can do some things but only thinga that have been approved by them. They could sort your unlock all doors issue with VAS though.

I can set up kessy to unlock all doors with the grab of the handle, but that changes they key fob behavior as well... I was expecting that the double press to unlock all worked as well with the handle.

Regarding the alarm chrip confirm, I can select that option without messing with the car thru VCDS. Maybe this option is available from factory in some regions, for Chile it is. Although I like it when I lock the car its a bit anying that it sounds when opening and closing the boot to...

Today I checked the KESSY behavior of my neighbor's Golf 7. When the car is set up to unlock just one door, grabbing the handle twice within a couple of seconds triggers the unlock of the rest of the doors. Just like double pressing the keyfob.

On my Fabia mkIII, if I setup the car to unlock just one door "double grabbing" the door handle doesn't unlock the rest of the doors, but double pressing the keyfob does.

I hate it that the Fabia behaves different in this regard.
