I have never used GPS before [i use my TomTom for the UK] but with a pending trip to France and Spain I need to use the 'legal' built in Amundsen SatNav. However, the GPS numbers for my French hotel just do not seem to input correctly.

Am I doing something stupidly wrong with inputting the GPS numbers?

I've never had any difficulty entering lat/long co-ordinates in my Amundsen.  It does need them in deg/min/sec, whereas many locations publish in decimal format.  If that's the issue, then a site such as this one can help.
