Not just Skoda that do cost cutting, our MY15 V40 is down of a few minor bits over the earlier MY13 &14 and I understand the MY16 has shed one or two more items too.

 

Mind what I never had I don't miss, except for the redundant spaces they would have been in   :S

Yeah, my Yeti didn't have the body coloured side mouldings, well any mouldings, unlike the Elegance which the SE L replaced, even though the brochure said it should have them.

The opposite is the situation in Oz.

It's tempting to wait for the next model because prices rarely rise at all, but more equipment is standard on new models.

The competition out here is ridiculous compared to 20 years ago ........about the time Korean cars first entered our market.

Japanese and Korean cars dominate out here with zero import tariffs now on most of them........and VW competes with them on price also.......amazing!
