I've been searching google for ages tonight but can't find anything concrete about whether or not the MkII can have this feature enabled via VCDS, I know about the beep to unlock/lock, 1-click unlock and so on but I only just saw about the coming home/leaving home feature using the front DRL's and thought it'd be pretty nifty seeing as most of the time I'm driving is in the evening.

 

Can anyone here say whether it can be done or not?

i think you would need the " light and sight(translated from the german name duuu)" pack wich only comes on the polo to enable it via vcds

You need the automatic headlights for this to work. There are options in VCDS to use DRL'S or fogs but it doesn't mean much. I've heard, but never seen it, that if you enable this via VCDS you can flash your lights as you leave the car and they will remain on for 30s but many, like me without the auto lights have tried and failed.
