That is a sealing plug. One part of inner shift selector fork is inserted through that bottom hole when the gearbox is assembled. The hole is then sealed with that threaded plug.

Oh nice. Thanks man. I have a problem right now i cant find any sealing rings (those on top of the valve cover that you bolt nuts on) in malta any ideas if i can buy online or use something else ?
