Monte Carlo Diffuser

Featured Replies

Anyone know if the Fabia III Monte Carlo rear diffuser is available as an aftermarket part?  If so, where?

I already asked the same question here in 'Fabia Monte Carlo topic' 3-4 weeks ago and got no answer. Local Škoda dealer didn't know the answer either.

Thanks, MantaOwner. Do you actually own a Manta alongside your Fabis III? If so, so do I - a 1987 Steel Grey 2.0 GTE Coupe.

I had a '84 Manta 2.0 GTE around 15 years ago, it's a great and sporty looking car but had a lot of technical issues and finally rust ate it unfortunately. Got any pics of your's? I didn't even take any decent pics of mine so nothing to show.

What comes to Fabia - I actually ordered a 1.2TSI 110ps DSG Combi Elegance with basically all the extras around a month ago but then decided to buy something smaller and faster, still haven't bought it yet so no car atm.

Thanks, Tõnu. I'll see if I can add some pics of the Manta.

I've just spoken to a UK parts supplier and the Monte Carlo Diffuser is available as an aftermarket part but the rear bumper needs to be modified (cut) to accept it.  Cost is a hefty EUR 440.48 so I don't think I'll bother, particularly since the Fab III exhaust is an invisible, downswept thing with no option for a nice visible tailpiece and my car is dark grey so the diffuser will not really stand out.

There you go, Tõnu. Outrageously off-topic but thought you'd want to see it!

The Skoda UK Dealerships can give you the Part No.(& the part)  for the OEM Diffuser for the 2015 Monte Carlo.

After all Skoda will have to supply them for any Body Work Repairers.

If you know anyone in the Trade they can maybe get you the part in without going to a Main Dealership.

Looks really great, almost like a new car. What's the mileage?

Only thing I noticed is side mirrors, what happed to originals? These are really hard to find if you want to buy them though.

Original side mirrors on mine although their wind resistance has deteriorated over the years and they tend to turn downwards at speed. Used replacements are available but they all suffer from the same problem.  A lot of people go for the Manta 400 Engelmann mirrors which are bullet shaped and are still available new.  Because they were fitted to a Manta variant back in the day, they still count as a 'genuine' part.  My GTE is totally standard, still the same old Cam-in-Head 8 valve with 94,000 miles on the clock.  Better get back on topic now!
