Boot not unlocking as before?

Featured Replies

hello all,

just this week i am having problems getting in the boot, only had the car 6 months and i am sure when i oped the car before on 2 presses it would open all doors and the boot also was able to switch car off and go to boot and open it without having to press any buttons.

Problem now is only way i can get it open is t press the key fob button or the center button do not think i have altered anything to make it do this,i have called

my local skoda dealer to get it looked at.   2012 vrs eastate

The microswitch on the boot locking mechanism has been documented on here quite a bit for failing, it is usually down to water ingress.

Does the button on the boot work after you've opened it with the keyfob and closed it again?

yes it dose, I also got it to work today then closed boot and it worked fine the not again so its an intermittent fault.

just hope its fixed for free as had the car 6 month making it just over the 3 year old mark as it was registered in November

Fingers crossed for some kind of warranty contribution if it's only just out!
