Is this 'THE' wire of death? How much is the Job?

Featured Replies

After reading some posts on here, I've had chance to have a quick look and I think I've found it and I'm somewhat glad it is what people are saying, now I have peace of mind.

So I removed the air feed to get a look under the battery:

Saw a connection and felt around, turns out there's about an inch of red wire come off the black wire loom:

I can't really do anything myself, so I would need to take it to a garage when they open.

Any idea how much this job should cost?

Bad pics, it's wet and was 5am so apologies.

Hope they help anyone else who needs to find 'THE WIRE' though because I had to search around the internet, take peoples explanations and look around for it.

What's the issue?

Car won't start, everything else works as far as electrics etc and I can bump start the car and it's fine.

Did some google searches, looks like this was the problem, inspected physically and this wire is snapped.

Just get some wire strippers and crimp connector if you're worried.

Worried? My care doesn't start lol.

My dad has a wire crimping set or whatever it is, he's at work until 7 though.

Said I could get it all apart and he would do it when he get's back if I can't find a decent garage to do it,
