When is the first and second service due one a new tdi vrs?

Have you had it set to Variable of Fixed? Variable is up to 20k, fixed is every 10k.

I believe in the UK all O3 are set to variable 'QI6' as standard - not sure if this is the same for Ireland though. You can find the QI reference in the middle of the sticker in the boot near the spare wheel whole - or maybe just look at how many miles left till service via the infotainment system!

Every 15k km.

You can have it set to long life intervals of 30k km. Modern oil is a lot better than years ago but personally I'd use the fixed intervals.

Odd numbers are uaually minor services, evens are full services.

My vRS TDi is set to 10k or annual (ie fixed) but this is because of the 3 free services I received for taking solutions finance

Yep, or one year. Whichever comes first.

Goto Car->Settings->Service in the infotainment & it will show you Time & distance to the next Oil Change & the next inspection.

 

From these numbers you will be able to tell if you are set to fixed (15k km) or variable (up to 30k km) servicing.

If it is set to variable you can always get it serviced early & ask the dealer to switch it to fixed servicing if you prefer.
