Honda AT

Featured Replies

I am quite interested in having one in the stable.

Anyone looked at it, any edifying comments or criticisms ?

AT? Whats that?

Half an AT-AT?

Half an AT-AT?

Which is a Tata spelt backwards...

Ah, the CB400A-T Hondamatic; what a classic...

Having looked at the Honda site there aren't any bikes with an AT designation, or do you mean the new Africa Twin?

If the question was about an Africa Twin why not just say that other than AT then thread might not take a turn you do not like?

FFS.

I apologise for not thinking down enough to the level of misunderstanding amongst what I took to be bikers albeit in a car forum.

A prize should go to the above above for cracking the conundrum !

Please check your calendar; mine says "It's Christmas" and that silly answers should be expected! :D

Given that Google didn't turn up anything for Honda AT, I don't think it was all that obvious a question.

I've been riding bikes for years and I didn't know what you was on about either.  Given that there are literally thousands of models out there probably a bit of a clue would have helped us and saved you from having a hissy strop.  Never mind you have let us know now.  So go on then tell us why you want one as no one on here seems to be able to help.

Endex.

I can't decide, the press and everyone seems to be going nuts about it, and Im sure it will be ace.  Ultimately thought its a heavy bike making less than 100bhp, that will cost £10K but be good off road (if you have the skill).

For my lack of skill, I'm leaning towards getting something like a KTM enduro, or even the new Husqvarana 701 enduro.

(And I havent been in a cryogenic facility for the last 24 months, so of course knew what the AT reference was....)

Whats your thoughts ?

Hi Rainbow-walker,

I agree with all you say regarding power/weight ratio. There has been an unjustified major shift towards more power for supposed adventure bikes which has made them in some cases too difficult to control off road without a staggering suit of electronic gizmos. Currently I use a KTM 690 R for my overland trips, principally Morocco, which has a higher p/w ratio than the new AT. However as I am not getting any younger and things take longer to repair, I am reducing my off piste trips and sticking more to gravel, hence the attraction of the new AT.

The KTM 690 End R is now for sale.

Regards

Crikey. Chill out.

Maybe if you didnt try to be smart and use abreviations right from the off, you might of got more useful responses.

I dare say you wouldnt of got it yourself if you werent interested in that particular bike already and been reading reviews etc

HAGCANY.

Oh sorry. Have A Good Christmas And New Year, if you didnt get that
