Replacement front wing DIY

Featured Replies

Have any of you replaced a front wing? When I got my car, it had a dent in the front wing, and it's beyond bashing it out so a replacement is necessary.

Is it held in only by bolts?

I'm sure I read on a workshop manual that it's bonded somehow as well as bolts.

Any recommendations on pattern parts that will fit first time?

Its held on by bolts and glue which you need to heat up to remove. The front bumper needs to come off too.

No experience of pattern parts as I got my wing from the scrap yard.

Can you remember where the glue is?

A scrapped car may be a better option as I might get away without painting it then :)

There is a blob on the corner where it meets the pillar and two strips of glue where it sits on a sort of support under the wing
