Clutch Issues

Featured Replies

Coming back from the in laws tonight and changed up from second to third when it felt a bit difficult to get it into gear.

There was plenty of vibration in the clutch pedal when pushing in slightly but something has clearly gone.

I managed to get the car home with as few gear changes as possible, but does anybody have any thoughts what it might be? Fluid leak etc.....?

Cheers

I had the same problem some years ago with a Honda Civic. It turned out to be the clutch pressure plate falling apart. It was not disengaging the engine from the gearbox completely, so therefore stiff gear changes. Whole new clutch sorted it. It would be good if you find yours is just a fluid leak. Cheaper to fix.

New clutch for me too. Happy new year ;-)

And a happy new year to you as well. Hopefully no other large car bills in 2016!
