What are you suggesting, that the vacuum diaphragm doesn't move the actuator rod far enough?

If the VNT mechanism goes from fully open to fully closed then it will work just fine.

I''m no expert, but would think the biiger VNT can handle bigger boost. Don't want to rip my working Kkk unit out and end up with less power than before.

Couldn't find a lot of info about that VNT... but some seller quote it for 90bhp cars right up to 150bhp engines. Bit confusing

I think their the same actuators. I've got a damaged vb so will take a look.

yeah been told the same, apparently same ... so how come everywhere says VNT-17 on PD150??

is it still ok to use for a remap? ... aiming for 185-190bhp.

Will that actuator handle the pressure?

Look, the VNT mechanism is on the EXHAUST side of the turbo, that actuator simply moves the vanes to increase or decrease the angle that the gases hit the turbine, the fresh air side of the turbo where the pressure is, is fixed geometry.

It'll be absolutely fine, you're not pregnant, you should easily achieve your target figure but you'll need to uprate the intercooler because the standard SMIC is going to heat soak really quickly, ok?  :sun:

Sometimes too little knowledge can be a worrying thing as well.  :p

Can't make the number out on mine but they'll be the same. You'll be fine :)
