New coding wipes itself after locking

Featured Replies

Hi, I recently got a hold of VCDS and I managed to code staging no problem yesterday yet today i tried to change the comfort indication from 3 to 5 clicks. It works perfectly until i lock and unlock my car and then the codes seem to reset? I'd appreciate any help you guys have!

Also would anyone know why i would be getting the error, no response from controller when trying to access the central convenience?

I'm driving an '09 FL Octavia

I am sure if you have the maxidot you can do the setting via that

Sorry i forgot to say, she's non-maxidot

Post up a (full) copy of the scan so we can see the error and coding.

I tried changing the same setting with VCDS too when I owned a 2010 FL Octavia but had no luck. From memory Central Convenience functions for the FL can be found in 09 - Central Electrics.

Looking at a scan I did, 46-Central Convenience is shown as Status - OK 0000 in the gateway list but thereafter does not appear in the the full scan. If you try and scan that individual module you get the error you are seeing. Put another way, been there and done that with the same outcome.

Ah great mate cheers, i've found most seem to be in 09-Cent. Elec. but i can't find the option to enable unlocking off all doors with on press of the fob. Intresting to hear you've had similar bother.

The setting is there somewhere because it was one of the first I enabled.

Try this via Module 09 and do it individually for both keys.

Had came across that link and tried deselecting the selective locking but it wouldn't work either. However i tried using the other key and now everything works and the coding doesn't wipe  . Give me a shout the next time you're in Ireland mate! I owe you a feed of drink!  :cocktail:
