Featured Replies

Hi people....

Hope you can help me..

Picked up my brand new Octavia VRS 220Bhp 2.0 Ltr and i have a few questions....

Questions :

1 can i open just the Boot from the key fob while leaving all the doors locked ???

2 the boot button isn't currently working full stop, do i need to activate this ??

3 SmartLink on the touch screen, whats all that about ??

4 Vag Com - can i use this on my octavia ?? if so what can i change on the car ?? worth having or not and will it affect the Warranty ??

Thats all for now folks..

As always, your help is much appreciated.

You need to keep your finger on the button for a bit for it to open the boot. It will work with car open or closed. I don't have smart li k on mine so pass. There's quite a few things you can enable ith vagcom. Think there is a sticky topic near the top of this section showing more about what cn be done

Yes.

Pressing the button briefly unlocks the boot but doesn't open it. Holding it down will open it. Both should flash the indicators. It sounds like your key is faulty.

3 SmartLink on the touch screen, whats all that about ?

It allows an Android or Apple phone to display stuff on the car screen, which is really useful if you don't have built in satnav.

Is your car equipped with the auto tailgate?
