I'm sure I saw my Amundsen display the street name in the top left title bar area when not in nav mode... However, it no longer does and I can't get it back on?

Any ideas!!!???

I remember also this function and its still on. Tray entering SAT NAV and then going to radio and see is it still there?

I tried doing that but it still didn't work. It shows Eco/Sport etc in the top... I'll try driving in Normal to see if that makes a difference, not sure why it would though.

Sorry I don't have drive option so IDK. Can't help.

It only shows with the ignition off if you have the performance mode selection on your car. Cars without Performance Mode Selection and nav probably show this constantly.

Agree its a bit annoying....possible the behaviour can be altered with VCDS.

Ah, that could be it, I'll look out for that next time I'm sitting in it with the engine off

Would be a better feature having the street name rather the driving mode imo... Especially when I've got the vRS mode button

It 'always' shows the street name top left but it's covered by the mode selection when the engine is running. 

 

Once you turn off the engine (but don't remove the key) you'll see the street name again.

 

Maybe it's simply clever to know where you've stopped

Even with the engine stopped/ignition off it still shows the mode selection on my car. I have the KESSY system. It definitely did show the street name at some point, so don't know why it's stopped. Bizarre. Can still change the dash display to show it on there, but that's just a hassle!

No idea why, but it started working again today. I don't normally listen to the radio, usually cd/media in... Maybe it only works with the radio on???
