Hi Aki78. I jumped from 0435 to 0490 so did not get to try 0475 (Thanks for the link though) I thought the dealer would update to 0475 not 0490.

Not sure what you mean by:

'random input selecting'

But-

I do not use a memory card other than the mapping. I assume you mean for music?

I often received 'source not available' message on media, relating to my USB stick, this needed to be removed and replaced in order for the Amundsen to see it. Then of course all my play settings were lost which was a real pain.

I have only driven it a few miles since the update so too early to tell if my problems have gone, although the dealer did say they could not guarantee the update would correct any of the problems! Not much confidence there then!!

Sorry for my english. :)

Random input selecting means that sometimes my Amundsen fails to continue the last track I listened on my SD card or pendrive.

When this happens the HU tends to switch to a different source (CD or radio).

This issue happens only when I start the car, otherwise everything is fine.

It's not a media card problem for sure, I tried 4 different USB stick and 2 different SD card so far. All genuine and error free.

I think there is a fair possibility that the file is hashed and the source if the leak could be traced.

We need 2 different source then to prove this.

No need to apologize I assure you, your English is better than some I know!!

My Media seems to continue where it left off, on starting the car Media continues the same track that was playing when I turned off the car. But I have noticed that once the car is started the track starts playing for about 20 seconds then stops for around 5 seconds then plays fine.

On occasion when the HU had lost my USB it reverted to radio or phone Bluetooth.

I need to find some time to go through the menus of 0490 and see whats there, Somewhere on the forum I think you said the later updates had a clear screen (Better for for reversing camera) instead of black, is that correct or was I dreaming?

My only issue with 0475 (also had with 0435 and 0465):

- random input selecting

- memory card error message

- source not available message

Only happens when I start the car, once or twice a week.

Ajw1100: did you have such problems and did the new FW solved it.

Somebody pleeease try and get hold of the new FW...

I tried multiple sources (including a friend of my friend who works for a dealer) with no luck. :swear:

hi guys, late comer here

is this update is still live, any chance of a PM this way?

thanks aki78 in advanced.

Hi,

Please could you PM me the update details for the Bolero?  Does this update improve the sound quality at all?  And why do the dealers deny there is an update available?

Thank you very much in advance!

Many thanks in advance

Noticed that since the update to 490 that when reverse engaged media no longer quietens as it did previously, cannot find a menu for it either to re-engage it.

That might be a good thing, because there is a bug with the sound quality and it sometimes losing the low frequencies, that I am suspecting is connected to that audio lowering function...

Have you tried (from memory) setup --> sound --> audio lowering?

I appreciate, having said that, that the 490 update may have got rid of the menu item altogether.

Might try to be a bit more forceful with my dealer re software update, given your experience. When I dropped it in for the last service I got him to write down on the sheet "head unit laggy, may need software update".

When I picked the car up they said "nah, nothing wrong with it." So I drove off, with the map autozoom behaving like the cameraman on a Channel 4 documentary, and the satnav trying to get me to drive directly into the sea. Same old same old.

Ohps, found it! Odd thing was it was set to 'medium' so set to 'strong' and tried that and thought I'd set it to Mute! Went back to Medium and tried again, this time it worked as it did before the update.

And something new for columbus? :)

And something new for columbus? :)

I was wondering the same. My newish vRS has hw version 050, sw version 0315. Either they have different a different numbering scheme for Columbus or my system is very old for some reason.

I have columbus 40 days old octavia.

Guys, keep it in topic and this only applies to MIB1 devices - meaning that were manufactured before June 2015.

For anything after that there are no known leaks.

I have already done the update to 490 too and it seems to be better than 475 - this time I do feel it more responsive and the sound quality seems to have slightly improved. Could all be placebo, of course...

Hello , i have mib1 soft 0421. Can you give the update? . Thx
