Hi anyone got a video on how to code in software after update using vcds,

done 0490 update no problem but vcds scan showing coding software fault and can't understand how to code it,would be really helpful if someone has quick vid of helping folk code it.

2. Can i somehow add bluetooth to my unit? coz it says not available when i try to click bluetooth in my menu

For an Octavia 3, which uses the MQB platform, you need a HEX-V2 (USB only) or a HEX-NET (USB or Wi-Fi) to be able to fully access all the modules fitted.

I was wondering if I can buy a cable from AliExpress or Amazon or eBay.

 

And the version I am reffering to is what shown on download page of Ross tech.

Most of those are NOT genuine cables which only run with a hacked old version of VCDS - and which means you will get NO support from Ross-Tech or here (as we don't support third-party rip-offs). Some sellers will even claim they are a genuine VCDS cable but normally they are not.

 

Spend the money, get the real thing and get support...

I've a Skoda Octavia III (2013) Bolero system.

 I'm having bluetooth issues (very poor audio on phone calls) since moving to a newer phone and it seems that I need a newer version of the Bolero software to resolve.

The link isn't to a server that I own, so I'd prefer to let the original owner do that.

I have an Octavia (manufactured in 2016) with Amundsen MIB2 with activated SmartLink. I would like to use Android Auto/Waze, but I only have MirrorLink in the options (no AA or Carplay)
