(1) 3" downpipe with 200cell race cat

(2) 2,5" exhaust from the cat and back

(3) an upgrade turbo suitable for 260 hp based on the original turbo but has bigger compressor and other design inside

(4) 375cc injectors bosch 0280155830 blue volvo t5 injectors "not installed yet"

(5) a stage 3 map  based on my bigger turbo my bigger volvo  injectors "not installed yet"

i have original air filter in the airbox

and original tip on the turbo

and i have an original intecooler

and right now i have a very mild stage 1 map installed

the stage 3 map will be installed when we install the bigger injectors

okeej is that all i need ??  i bought the turbo from a turbo restoring and tuning company named turbotech here in sweden where i live

they have a websight

Hey bud,

Think you'll also need a decent intercooler, the standard set up will be too restrictive on air flow.

aah okeej did you notice increase of power after you installed fmic

I did actually, can't tell you my before and after bhp but it felt quicker.

Ah okej do you have a bigger tip also

You'd be better off installing a CAI and probably uprated fuel pump along with TIP and bigger intercooler

okeej uprated fuelpump didnt see that one coming whats the limit for the original fuel pump

Not so much what's the limit, depending on the mileage of your Octy, the original pump could be getting tired and may not be able to supply enough fuel higher up the rev range, new pump or something like a Sytec will help.

its got pretty low mileage 148000 kilometers

when is it best to get an upgraded fuelpump ?? the guy that did my stage 3 map sad the fuel is spot on now as it is

So about 92000 miles, mine has done 131000 miles(about 210km) and the pump can't flow enough higher up the rev range, new pump to be bought and then mapped.

You could do with swapping your TIP, fitting a FMIC you should then get more out of it, you will probably find out how good your pump is then.

This is the upgrade, straight-fit fuel pump for a vRS:

Don't bother upping the fuel pressure, just use the standard 3 bar regulator, as your bigger than standard injectors should be able to cope with the power lever you are looking at. Running pumps and injectors at higher pressures puts unnecessary load on the components.

okeej thanks mate do i need to upgrade the fuelpump this early with the mods i have ??

It doesn't matter what mods you have. What does matter is how the pump is coping with the demand for fuel at high revs. I did everything all in one go as I didn't want to arrive at my mapping session and then find out part way through that my fuel pump wasn't good or my fuel filter blocked or injectors too small etc. etc. For the sake of GBP 50, I would just get it done, especially at that mileage

aah okeej but i just got my car mapped at stage 3  and  the fuel was spot on  he checked and logged with vcds and everything worked  perfect together  with the stage 3 map

Then leave it all alone and just enjoy the car.

okeej will it be any diffrence after i change to bigger tip and fmic or do you think the fuel  mixture is the same as it is now

Edited by rsdanne

Hmm. Difficult to say really. Is it a standard turbo intake pipe and intercooler you have at the moment? If the new setup flows better then it could change the fuel mixture, but the standard wideband lambda might be clever enough to sort it out. I'd fit the parts and then check the mapping.

at the moment it is  the original tip from turbo to airbox and the intercooler is also standard

i will be changing the  tip soon as im about to order one  from ebay

the guy that mapped my car said  that the maf will make the fuel mixture right and that it was just to change the intercooler and the tip/hose from turbo to airbox/maf
