Monte 105 T.S.I..unleaded or super-unleaded

Featured Replies

What do people think, is it better to run a standard Monte 105 T.S.I. on ordinary unleaded , super , or shell nitro , are there any benifits or disadvantages running on higher octane.Thanks.

I've not noticed a difference with ours. Ran it for 4 tanks on Momentum 99 and then regular 95 and similar miles to tank. No real difference with the bum on seat dyno either.

I always use the best fuels I can.

I don't read much into marketing blurb, I just want to give my car the best fuel possible.

I run Shell V-Power diesel and I've not noticed better MPG, but I have noticed the engine runs smoother. When running on standard Shell, if I was in first gear and stationary, the gear stick would vibrate and make a rattling sound, but on V-Power, there is no rattle and the engine overall starts and runs smoother.

I've used normal fuel I.e. 95 and it runs sluggish on that stuff. So for the past year I've used momentum 99 and she runs like a dream. Opssss and she is a 1.2 TSI.

My VRS runs on v-power but it's meant to be and I've not seen a difference to the tank of 95 I gave it when I first bought it. Saying that though it made a big difference in an old diesel mondeo I had. No better performance or economy just smoother are a lot less sooty. I should imagine it will be just as good to a petrol in terms of keeping the internals in good nick.
