Stiff brake pedal on new brakes

Recommended Posts

I've recently fitted some 4 pot brembos along with brand new pads and discs with braided brake lines, to a seat Ibiza pd130, they went on and bled fine however if you keep on pumping the brakes with the engine turned on the brake pedal goes stiff (as if you were to keep on pumping it whilst the engine is off)

Also replaced standard 16x6.5j alloys with 17x7.5j alloys and the car seems to pull to the left. Any ideas? Thanks

Could be a combination of braided lines, they don't expand with pressure, and the 4 pots your not used too :)

Multi piston calipers always have a harder feel to the pedal compared to calipers using sliders ;)

Ref the pulling, matching tyres on both sides?checked pressures?

Yeah as long as your first press of the pedal isn't going down along way?

If you can picture the Pistons going out with your first couple of presses of pedal, they then are compressed onto pads, pads onto discs,so the pedal goes hard as the Pistons can't move out any further :)
