Lowering springs +/- standard dampers

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've found a set of KAW springs, something looking like this. I'd fancy having them on the car once the winter will be gone, but I'm not sure if I will need to replace my shock absorbers as well or not. I currently have a set of KYB Excel G, with less than 1 year of wear on them, so I wouldn't want to damage them. Should I buy different ones (and could you suggest which ones if so) ?

All depends if your shocks are at risk of bottoming out due to the lower springs.

I would guess at 45mm lower you will be needing shorter shocks, but I don't know for sure on your exact model.

Perhaps contact KYB and see what they think :)

30mm drop is realistically the most you can do with standard length shocks if you want them to perform properly.
