Yeti but no Yeti I + Yeti II

Featured Replies

How come there is,

Fabia I

Fabia II

Fabia III

Roomster (assume I)

Roomster II

Octavia I

Octavia II

Octavia III

Superb I

Superb II

Superb III

and only Yeti

Is it because there is only Yeti which then covers Yeti Face Lift.?

The Yeti was only introduced at the end of 2009 IIRC, so to get a FL in 2015 was a long time in Skoda plans.

I believe a Yeti 2 will come in a few years. I think the FL-Yeti will be with us for three years (up to 2018) before the Mk2 is introduced.

Rumours of a long wheel base or 7-seater are rife on the 'net as are several Photoshopped images of what it might look like (i.e. ugly).

The Octavia Mk2 had a pre-FL and a FL before the Mk3 was introduced. I expect the same with the Yeti when it is on a new chassis (possibly the MQB of the current Octavia Mk3).

I'm no expert, just passing on snippets of info from this forum.

I was thinking the OP meant Sub Sections / Forums in Briskoda.

Yes indeed. There are items available on the FL that were not on the bogeye.

There is only one true version of the Yeti. There have been many minor changes and upgrades and one significant change ie the Facelift

The way I see it I have a 1.0. nnnn, facelift owners have a 1.1.nnnn. In a few years there will be a 2.0.nnn.

The LWB isn't rumours, it is a real thing plying Chinese roads.

Yeti 2 is due late 2017 - according to most motoring press. Seat SUV competitor is due late 2016 together with many other similar competitive vehicles from other manufacturers. I suspect Skoda will have to offer big incentives to maintain Yeti sales volumes through 2016 and especially 2017. I will be looking to replace my Yeti in 2017 and will certainly be taking a look at all competitors but specially the Seat version which based on the Leon chassis should be good.

Didnt know about the Seat version, that should be interesting.

However, if its anything like the rest of the range, ill probably like the exterior but completely despise the interior :D

Agree on the Seat.  I had an Ibiza for two weeks when my Roomster was in dock, and loved the shape and design, but found the interior rather poor.
