I usually power off at the plug socket each time I finish using my TV, For my newly purchased Android Sony TV I can't work out how to power on and go straight to viewing my Sky HD, after the boot sequence to goes to the Home menu.

How do I set the power on preference to be HDMI 1 which is my Sky box? I was able to do this on my previous Panasonic.

Not all Sky boxes have the hdmi switching ability.

Even from switched off at the mains, mine will do as you say from standby but not a cold start so to speak
