Any slot car experts.

 

Got a prob with our set. The Bugatti Veyron model.

 

One car is doing strange stuff.

 

With no controllers plugged in it moves forward of its own accord in a stuttering way before the set stops with the short circuit error (flashing power led).

Resetting and using a controller it moves forward normally a few feet before stuttering again and going to short circuit.

 

Other car works fine.

 

Don't have any fresh contacts left but I have swapped the contacts between the cars and there is no difference.

 

Any ideas?

 

It's a year old but not much used.

 

Have skimmed the web but can't see the same problem anywhere.
