Blue Flame Exhaust Discussion

Featured Replies

Opened a new thread in the right place to discuss the Blueflame systems recently bought on the GB, original thresd getting a bit long and diverse!

.....Whaddya think.... i love it! car pulls like a train with it and sounds Fantastic without being in your Face, just what I wanted.

Cannot fault it, top quality product that does what it says it will do. 10 out of 10.

Just got mine fitted, took about 3 hrs but no probs there as I left the car with 'em.

I am pleased, only done about 10 miles in it so far in peeing rain so not reallr thouroughly tested it yet. First impressions are good, I was one of those people worried about the noise but I needn't have been. Yes its louder than standard and you can hear it burrring away at tickover and slow speeds, but on a constant light throttle on the motorway its hardly audible at all. You can hear it but not much and that was my main worry - long trips. Seems to be slightly louder at 70 than at an indicated 80 - 85mph which is where I find the car most economical anyway so no probs there.

Anyway off for another blast soon...!

Again thanks Daver for organising the GB.

:)

i got a BF exhaust just before the group buy happend but mine is well loud, pretty damn boomy at 70mph and quietens donw a fair bit at 80-85

maybe they made mine different

Think the 4x4 version is different because of the extra diff / axle. Wayne Kerr also said his was loud (another 4x4 estate), possibly the body style contributing as well. I'm sure its nothing a bit of ICE soundproofing in and around the boot won't fix - just to deaden the resonance?

Are these all fitted with cats, or are they de-cat systems?

The full system has a hi-flow sports cat. A rear section can be bought and mated to the oem front section / cat if required instead.

Actually Blueflame will do anything you ask, so if you want to de-cat they will. :)
