Led Plus Package!

Featured Replies

Hi guys have any of you ordered or currently have this on your vehicle? I have ordered it for my sel and was wondering would anyone have pics that you could share please??

Also what exactly does it do in terms of lightning, modes etc.,. Thanks

Basically all but the glovebox, door open warning and boot lights are all LED’s, you also get the strip lights that run through each door and the dashboard which can be changed colour between blue, green and a orangey white.

Personally I love it.

Easily one of the best 'bang for 'yer buck' upgrades when it comes to visual impact.

Their are pics you will have to do a search for them.

I've spec'd it on mine!

Scroll down to the 3D visualiser, click on 'Explore Interior', change to night view if necessary and you'll see the LED strips on the dash and along the door cards.

Night time driving pic for you with green strips. You can control the brightness of these as well as that of the foot wells. Well worth it at less than two hundred quid!

Hi all

I have another question on the LED Package Plus

I'm about to order a Superb SE L Executive.

I don't particularly want the 3-colour ambient lighting around the door trims; but If I don't order the LED package plus, am I right in thinking that i still get front & rear reading lights, illuminated footwells, door handle illumination  and illuminated vanity mirrors, it's just not LED lighting?  Or do I not get these at all?

The brochure is not clear on this...

Thanks

Correct. You get them but not with LEDs.

Thanks #RememberSenna - time to get the order in :-)

I may be a grumpy old git but can't think of anything worse than more lights showing in the car when driving at night. I just have the standard interior lights and have it all turned down to minimum and still find it to bright. I would love to have the Saab jet fighter night button fitted. Do any of you that have this option not find it distracting?

You can turn them off completely.

Personally I find them a help at night.

I agree - I actually miss my down lights from the S2 but now that i've changed the LED strips to red, it is very much a more soothing place.

I still love the cat's eyes on the S2

Yes, I agree, they really add a lot to the interior. Pity they dropped them on the SIII

Did you upgrade the glovebox, door open warning and boot lights to LED yourself? Seems like a worthwhile upgrade.

I agree about loving the LED and ambient lighting!

Yes,

I initially put a W5W LED in the boot but soon changed it for a Superskoda unit (I have a few  if these units for sale if anyone is interested)  and it made a big improvement over even the upgraded W5W LED.

I’m interested! What you got? I’m looking to do the boot, glovebox and puddle lights. Cheers.

Hi All,

Just purchased a used superb l&k but a bit annoyed to find the led light strip doesnt work... after some quick research they share a fuse with the footwell lights and they can be dimmed etc in the settings menu and work fine. Ive tried turning them all off and changed through the 3 colours but nothing? Anyone else experienced issues with these lights?

Thanks

Mat

I miss ambient lighting from my previous car, I take it retrofitting is impossible?

Just resuming this thread for anyone still following it.

I’ve recently taken delivery of a SportLine with the LED pack, but am surprised at how faint the LED strips are even at full brightness. I used to have a Golf GTI with red illuminated  strips (although I’m not sure or they were LED as they didn’t colour change) and they could be clearly seen in daylight. On the superb they’re only really visible when it gets dark.

Is this the same with everyone else’s?

Yup. Not sure why you want lighting during daylight hours!

Yes, same here - the interior LED stripes r not visible during the day time.

They weren't designed to b visible in daylight.
