Fabia vrs mk11 engine sound

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just taken the car for a short drive to come back and notice a different engine noise when idle and revving.

Anyone else had this issue? It has disappeared for now but sounded like a total different car.

Thanks

Dan

Welcome to the forum.

What kind of different noise?

I would worry if the car sounded the same when it was at idle and when revving.

Tell us about your car, what is it, and how long have you had it?

(i know it is a Mk2 Fabia vRS).

what kind of noise? rattling? or?

I've owned the vehicle for 3 years and had serviced regular it's a 2010 model with 50000 on the clock. Apart from the strange noise it's a great motor and been hassle free

Doesnt sound like an exhaust blowing then? RRRRRRRR is difficult to diagnose. Pronounced in many ways :D

You are probably right.

The exhausts and possibly the Cats are giving up internally on the first 2010 cars.

Mine started last year.

?

Did your car go through its MOT on Emissions OK last time?

(& was it at a Skoda Garage where there seems to be no issue. Tommy testing it!)
