Have anyone converted the halogen high beam on a Bi-xenon equipped FL Superb II using an aftermarket xenon kit and managed to turn off the high beam bulb failure detection using VCDS?

 

I changed the H3 main beam bulbs on my old 2010 pre-FL Superb to xenons without coding any didn't have any warnings, but on my 2013 FL I get a "Check right high beam bulb" warning. I only get a warning on the right side, switching the ballasts I still get the warning on the right side, so the problem seems to be that the right side bulb failure detection is more sensitive than the left side. :S

The ballasts are bought from a reputable dealer and are of the "CANBUS-friendly" type.

 

 

Joakim, how is the light pattern after xenon conversation? Did the overall light improve a lot? I have a 2015 Superb 2 FL and are thinking to do the same thing but dont know if the Superb had the same issue as the octiavia 2 FL that the electronics is very sensitive and could fail after a xenon conversation.

 

I dont think you can remove the bulb error warning with vcds, you need VAS 5054a for that. I beleive the only thing you can do with vcds is to activate LED lights, for example if changing numberplate lights to LED
