I have searched the site, honest, but can't find advice on which fuel filter I require for an 06 2.0 TDI

 

I know to my cost that it's not the one with the larger diameter hole in the centre, as by sods law, that the one which has been sent through, and on on taking of the top it's clear that that's not the right one.

 

Put the top plate back on to keep me on the road, but looking at the site, there would seem to be two of the smaller central hole types. Anyone know an reference No. for the right one?

There's two types on the VRS, check the side of your housing for a label to see if it's a UFI part or not.

I had to phone the dealer to get the correct part number recently.

ECP will be able to identify the correct part if you give them the part number.

My local dealer didn't want to give me the part number, but I phoned the original dealers who sold the car and they were very helpful

If you pull out the headlight unit, it's much easier to read the filter type stamped on the side of housing.

I had the same problem,found the longest filter as showing in carparts4you,there are at least 3 different filters, but am pretty sure it is the mann ore bosh filters showing together,and same size. as said the longest.

The UFI marking is quite easy to see on the left of the fuel filter housing when you look down from above. That is when you know where to look!

 

Just replying to point others where to look, but also to remark on the fact the mpg seems to have gone up by about 5. Don't consider the readout as being accurate, but would assume that the figure going up on the readout would reflect in my actual mpg return
