So last night I was driving when just as I put power down the car started misfiring. EML would flash and disappear. Eventually just before I got home the EPC light came on. Quick VCDS scan revealed 7 fault codes. The one I was looking for was misfire cylinder 1 and cylinder 1 disabled. This morning I cleared the codes and swapped coil pack from 1>4. Quick drive and scan revealed the same but on cylinder 4. Straight on the phone to TPS and one delivered within 2 hours. £28inc Vat later and all faults have gone and car is running smooth.

There is every possibility that another might fail.

Carry a spare.

I would replace spark plugs as well.
