Which gearbox oil for 1.9tdi pd 100 (2001)

Featured Replies

My clutch needs replacing again at 151000miles and was thinking of changing gearbox oil. Can anyone tell me what spec the oil needs to be? I have a fabia 1.9tdi pd100 2001. Thanks.

I believe 75/90 is fine for the five speeders, but you might find the gearchange a touch slicker with 75/80 which would still be fine.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.

I take it that is fully synthetic?

G052 512A2 was the part number for the oil on the 5 speed when we recalled them years ago on the Octavia, the lighter oil got into the syncrohubs better and made changing easier.

Is that 75-80, 75-85 or 75-90?

There are so many 75w80 gearbox oils. Millers, motyl, valvoline etc... Any recommendations or does it have to be the geniune one.

Any of them will be fine imo :)
