I'd probably put the module in the other way round to hide the wires are visible but otherwise great :D

The plugs usually face towards the driver's door.

I found the Velcro on the polystyrene block gave up the ghost after a short period of time and I ended up buying the proper metal mounting bracket which acres to the floor.

I hope yours does better than mine did!

Looks great mate!

Did I do mine wrong then as mines wedged inbetween the glove box and side of the panel?!?

A 3C8 035 730E bluetooth module should work perfectly with a Columbus and maxidot in a 2012 car. It might need coding using VCDS but afterwards you should get full integration.

What limitation will occure without coding?

I have same module, will just need coding via vcds for full maxidot integration. May well move module with regards wires not showing to the front.

That's not the official location of the BT module if it was factory fitted. However, it is an easier location to run cables to and several people on here have done it the same as you.

If it works and you are happy, then leave it.

Where you have it is the official location for the MDI controller on Octavia Mk2's. There is a bracket available to mount it on.

Probably not a lot of it is a used module.

Otherwise, it may just not integrate properly with the Maxidot. Generally they seem to work properly without coding - just with lots of fault codes stored on a scan.

In basic situation, I need just to integrate the bluetooth kit with my columbus to handle calls on. If maxidot doesn't integrate well. it"s not a issue for me.

Please confirm to me your experience for the integration with Columbus only? Also to integrate to Microphone?

BR.

Mine worked with the Columbus before coding, but I have known others to not do so properly or fully.

I have also known some compatibility issues between BT module and the Maxidot that have not been able to be resolved aside from change the module to one that is compatible.

In reality, it will probably work. But I would get it coded and faults cleared as soon as you can.

okay, now i have orderd it and hope it will work with my columbus as it's a last version K with voice commande control.

Thanks for help.

Voice command will only work if the wiring between the Columbus and BT module and mic are wired the right way.

If you fitted an extra pass-through loom to the back of the Columbus when you fitted the BT module, then you should have two white plugs which can be swapped around if it does not work.

Her is new Columbus and BT and cabling arriving today. What do you think?
