Not so good vibartions......

Featured Replies

Afternoon all.

My son has brought a 2013 Citigo Sport as his first car and is using it to learn to drive. He and I have noticed a vibration at 50 mph from the front off side wheel, through into the accelerator peddle. The tyres are brand new and the pressure was correct, the road surface was smooth.

Any ideas? I'm thinking tracking, balancing or alignment....

I'm going to get it booked in ASAP with my local dealer as it's under warranty!!

Balancing would be my first guess. Possibly a balance weight fallen off.

As above, that sounds the most likely and easiest to check.

Thanks chaps, that's my avenue of thought as well.

Quick update.. 2 brake hubs and associated parts covered by warranty and 2 front disks at a cost of £97 as they are seriously corroded!! So much for a "comprehensive 120 point SEAT main dealer pre delivery inspection............" My ar5e!! Even the service chap said there would be no way they would sell a car in that condition!! They would replace all the break disks before delivery and anything else that was wrong.

The service dept at Beadles have been absolute stars!! They have had the car for the last 2 days and will need it again tomorrow in order to get the work done. I explained that I'm at work all weekend and tomorrow, so collection would be a pain in the bum. They are going to deliver the car to my home address once the work is done!! How's that for customer service!! And they let me pay before the work has been completed.

Going to be a fun phone call on Monday to the SEAT dealer.........
