also if your part ex has been used for hire, you have to declare it :(

True. And if it was an Octavia model with the 'cavernous boot' then it'd devalue even more!

Apologies to the OP for the complete high jacking of your post.  Are you any closer to making a decision?!

Making inroads , but she loves her Nissan still. If I hadn't just bought another car myself, I would order one tomorrow...

You only allowed out after midnight Graham?

I have changed my shift pattern, I work permanent lates now, finishing between midnight and 01:30, Shelagh works permanent nights, so it suits us both, and dave can be looked after properly, plus I can get stuff done during the day, and can drink in peace when i get home ( like now.... )

That sounds like a win to me :)

Have you retired ? You are always on here, mind you , you must be nearly 70 by now, and wrinkly, and stooped, and grey, ( looks in mirror ) oh bugger !......

I am between jobs, still aiming for 70+  eventually, not as wrinkly as you might think, got the odd grey streak (like a witch) and I have no reflection in a mirror to check.

I'm glad Mr Grumpy's back again :D

you are in a small minority methinks....

How are you Steve? i hope the house/job/car are doing well ( I know the car front will be fine ) I now know who i can 'tickle' and who to leave alone.....I have promised to be a good boy...

I'm good! All of the above are running along well :)

Practice makes perfect; try not to get banned again :P

And back on topic - I'd go for the vRS 4x4, no doubt about it at all. The PCP route does really add up if you like changing motors after a certain amount of time. When you do, there's very little point having to pay off the entire vehicle cost in my book, only when you're then going to shift it on anyway. And then you start calculating in 0% finance rates as well.....

I agree totally, everything seems to come all at once though. I had more or less decided to buy an insignia estate, until i drove it, then i saw Sharkies car for sale, so I agreed to buy it, then the Octavia offer came about and I was sorely tempted, but i am a man of my word, and I had agreed to buy daves car. and although I could probably have been better of not doing, I will give the Fabia a bash, I may not keep it long,, but it will do for the time being. Come late autumn, the Nissan will be worth more than it is now, so then a change will make more financial sense, whew, that took some typing, my keyboard has gone sulky.......

Glad Dave's is going to a good home anyway
