I'm sure there are a lot of people running that gear. The only downside being heat soak, after a couple of hard footed runs, the turbo will lose efficiency.

The clutch's lifetime will depend on your driving and the torque curve of the map.

I run a PD150 with an OEM smic. Car has a "stage 1" shark map on it also.

I don't do track days or really drive the car hard, I just commute in it. When my last turbo started to whine, the pd150 came up cheap so I opted for it.

Mines whining now and has been for a while still goes great though, so did you have it remapped or just bolt it on . .? And did you notice a difference in power ?

Mine PD 150 has been fitted on Saturday, still on the stock map. No real difference, but feels smoother with more pull at low rpm ( could be due to boost leak in the pipework though as all horse shoe clips were wrong way round)... and I haven't booted it, they said give it ~100 miles to settle in. It was straight bolt on, but EGR delete from Darkside was needed to make more space.

Can't wait to have it mapped ;)

I think I might have to delete the egr from my engine bay once I get a bigger turbo. If only the Fabia's bay was a tardis...

You can keep the egr valve. It the cooler pipe from the turbo that doesn't fit due to the different location on the pd150 engine.

Is this only with the pd150 turbo? Think I'll be going down the gtb1756 route.

I'm not sure about the gtb set up I'm afraid, best asking alex or coskev about that.

yes that's what i meant, the EGR is in place, but the EGR cooler was deleted with the Darkside rubber hose...
