VCDS issue

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I had marcvac just leave my house who brought his lovely Yeti round for some coding, mainly changing maxidot from kph to mph. I've done this on a few Octavia's but never on a Yeti.

Loaded up fine and went into controller 17, but every time I tried to change country code to Australia I kept receiving an error message saying that the coding was too long or contained too many characters?

I only changed the country code from the drop menu in bit 4 in the long code helper so unable to see how this error message can be true? Has anyone else come across this issue?

I have heard that Saudi or Germany can be used as well but wasn't sure if this has a knock on effect on other systems I.e lights etc so unwilling to try.

Any suggestions?

Was this on a my2015+ car?

May i ask what difference that makes please?

I'm going to do this (or was going to) on my parents 2015 Yeti.

The coding procedure seems to have changed on the newest version of yeti. by that I mean those with the latest EU6 diesel and petrol engines.

you can read and adjust the coding for dash panel but when you try to write it back in you get an error message.

.... and the security access codes don't seem to work either

Best send the log file to Ross-Tech for assistance.

It was yes

Is this only on Instruments or also on any other module?
