Hi all, 

Placed yesterday an order for a new Skoda Yeti. 1.4 TSI 125bhp, petrol, manual. Thing is, even after fiddling with the options for weeks I still forgot about something. Well, can't say it is fully 100% my fault but also because of a confusing brochure. I took a package where it was included an option called Seats with lumbar support and foldable trays for passengers in the back. When I got the contract, with the same option code and price was mentioned only "Foldable trays". The dealer didn't have any explanation for the difference or neither did he know in the end what kind of seats will I get. So I continued with the initial configuration but after arriving home I'm wondering what to do. The electric seat is not an option unfortunately for my trim. They only have an option which says manual lumbar support. I tried this but only with some sports seats and leather seats and found it kind of useless and set it to minimum. But  maybe with standard cloth seats it will feel better. Or maybe worse. Currently I have standard seats I don't know how much support they have, came with my 10.000 euros Hyundai I20 which is a city car, so for short trips, and I'm comfortable in them, can drive for at least 2 hours without pause and had even 1000 kms in one day without back pains. I expect the Yeti to be designed for more comfort on longer trips though.  

 

BTW, it will be brilliant silver metallic with black roof and black mirrors. 

I am a bit unsure about what you actually want to achieve. I ordered sports seats for my SE, as I did not like the standard fabric and wanted extra support for my back problems. They are NOT a true sports seat, but slightly more bolstered and with the integral lumbar support set to the middle are very comfortable. I am 5'8" and about 13 stone. If you are significantly larger than this you may find them a bit snug. The first long trip I had in them was leaving home at 3:00am and arriving at destination about 6:00pm. I think they are about the best seats I have experienced.
