Rear Speaker Not Working

Featured Replies

I'm changing my rear speakers. Right side done no problem but the new left speaker does not work. Is it coincidence the rear left tweeter in the door does not work. Does the circuit for the rear parcel shelf speaker go via the tweeter in the door?

Pretty sure it goes to the rear speaker then out to the door tweeter from there, so it must be the connection from the head unit.

Hope you don't mind me coming in on this thread. I had some speaker questions also.

Are the rear tweeters located where the handles are? Behind the small dark grill? I was wondering if anything was installed on my car. No sound from these! (rear woofers ok)

Overall the sound is pretty awful. Is the skoda audio unit pretty bad or can the speakers be upgraded? Front tweeters and woofers work but lack any soundstage.

Yes rear tweeters are next to door handles. I should say in fact my left rear tweeter and rear speaker were not working as previous owner helpfully cut the speaker wires coming out the back of the head unit!

Quite a few people disconnect the rear tweeters as they find them intrusive, especially if you have long legs.
