How does it secure in the boot well? Do you need a fitting surround from Skoda?

If you look in the spare wheel well there is a nut welded to the floor and looking at the the picture  (1st Post ) there is a large plastic threaded bolt which screws into the welded nut.  I think you need to remove the jack and screw the wheel to the floor.

^^^^  Might have got it the wrong way around. There might be a threaded bolt fastened on the boot floor and you get a large plastic tapered bolt to hold everything in place

If you look at the picture in my first post you will see, below the jack, a large black plastic screw fitting. The bottom part of this goes through the spare wheel kit and locks into the centre of the wheel well (if you look in your wheel well you'll see where it twist locks in) and the top end screws down to secure the wheel.

No other parts are needed.

@Jim @Greenline3Matt I travel from Hinckley in Leicestershire to Chatham in Kent weekly.

If I can help at all, let me know.

Sounds perfect. Jim B do you think we could take Jonny up on his very generous offer?!

This is shaping up like one of those internet scams that we read about in the papers!

It just so happens that my daughter lives in Hinckley (spooky eh?) and even spookier we're visiting there this very next coming weekend.

So it looks like we might have an arrangement, with thanks to Jonny5ive.

JimB

Hi JimB, well I live in Rainham which is about 5 miles from Chatham so that's pretty coincidental also!

I think between the three of us we should get this arranged and maybe purchase a lottery ticket!

JimB if you let me know your preferred payment method...i'd be happy to transfer you some money into your Nigerian bank account!

PMs sent to Jonny5ive and Greenline3Matt.

JimB

Plans are afoot to collect the wheel this weekend.

Once in my car, I'll PM Greenline3Matt to arrange the drop :bandit:

It's not the first time I've ferried stuff about. It makes sense to me to help out if I'm doing the journey anyways.

Jonny you are a legend!

Yes, thanks again Jonny.
