Battery bolt

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My car is parked up for a few months as I have a company car for a short while, I decided to put a trickle charger on her to save any hassle. I had a spare easy connector so I decided to fit it, when I loosened the nut the bolt started to spin around and now it will not tighten up again.

the metal is very soft and I guess I have bent the bolt, where can I get a replacement bolt ready for next time I am home?

Did I do something stupid in my rush to get it fitted or are they tricky? (changed a few batteries on other cars without any issues)

thanks

I don't know if i'm missing something but why don't you just put a spanner on the head of the bolt while you tighten the nut?
