Brakes and wheels

Featured Replies

I've got a 2004 1.9 TDI 130 PD Elegance and I am trying to figure out if it has 280 or 288 mm front discs and if they(whatever the diameter actually is) will fit under 15"x6J steel rims

Can anyone enlighten me ?

Cheers

OK so now I've found out it has 288mm disks.

I still need to know if I can fit these behind the 15 inch steel rims ... Can anyone help ?

hmmm ... Stunning list of replies ;)

Well I found out that the 15" steel rims just fit on the 288mm brakes by actualy putting them on. There is a couple of milimeters clearance on the face and edge of the caliper. I just hope that this is ok.

with the standard steelies on my fabia there is about 3-5mm between the edge of the caliper and the wheel so should be fine if you've managed to get them on.

Should be fine, I had less clearance when running AP 4 pots + 335 discs behind my alloys & it was driven "hard"
