Waseem's Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hey guys  :)  ,

I passed my test in June and was on the hunt for a Fabia vRS because the insurance was pretty low surprisingly

After hunting around for a few months and numerous views i found one that was in very good shape and i have to say im very impressed.

Heres a picture taken minutes after i bought the car.

First thing on the list was a deep clean and polish. I used some snow foam and a electric polisher with some poorboys polish. After a few hours of work this was the result.

Cant forget the brisky badge  :p

The next thing on the list was cleaning out the headlights as they were yellow and horrible. The images dont really show it well because it was getting dark , but i used 3M cutting compound and with an electric polisher and different grades of wet and dry sandpaper.

After that i got some vinyl wrap as recommended on here from B&Q and wrapped the grille , not the best job but still presentable (re-doing when weather permits). The colour match was very good and looks great on the car much better than the chrome IMO.

When i bought the car, the passenger side speaker had blown, this gave me the perfect opportunity to upgrade to some Alpine 1725s, with some help from a work friend, they were in and sounding much better than the oem ones.

As i was sorting out the audio i also upgrated the headunit to a Pionner avh8400bt and installed 2 x 12'' subwoofers that had been sitting inside the garage for a while  :D

Looks good mate!

The black ones come up great when polished properly. Mines is badly needing a clay, polish & wax as well.

Anymore plans?

Thanks  :) , they do look great once cleaned and polished.

ive got a few things planned such as:

312MM brake conversion

Xenon projector retrofit

Splitter

Remap

Maybe a FMIC

looks good mate, looking forward to seeing how it goes ;)

Looks like it cleaned up nice.

A little different getting a vrs for a first car. I think it would have been to fast for my first car when I think of the silly things me and my friends done in poor 1.0 cars :D

Yeah I was surprised when I was looking at insurance quotes, it was cheaper to insure a Vrs than a classic fabia (I know logic right). But even then the insurance atm is just shy of £2k

What's with the black bulbs?!?

Not sure what you mean mate , the bulbs are 4300k h1 for dipped and regular h3 for main and now it has chrome indicator bulbs.

I think he means the projector lens inside the headlight. They look black in one of the pictures. I'd love a set of headlights like those as well but don't have the time to make them up myself.

Yeah, you're headlight bulbs look black whereas mine look white?!

That's not the bulbs though, that's the projector lens.

So recently ive started to get the dreaded front end knocking when going over bumps in the road, The plastic collars on the ARB were broken causing the bar to slide around. A new ARB from TPS and the problem was solved.

How it should look

and the drivers side was like this
