Dose anyone have a VRS with H&R extra low springs ?

Featured Replies

I can get  H&R springs for my VRS at a good price i fancy the extra low version 45-50mm which should drop the VRS 35mm,dose anyone have any pictures of these extra low springs fitted, i just want to know how small the arch gaps are as i may have to get coilovers if the gap is to big,

had these fitted for a while, looked great needed wheel spacers for the perfect look though, sorry never took any photos that I could show you. Removed them with less than 1000 mile covered though as I couldn't stand the constant knock from the frt springs on slightly rougher Scottish roads. the knocking was the coils clattering together as the coils are a lot tighter to give you the lower ride height. in my eyes .... a spring isn't a spring if the coils are touching each other

That dosent sound to good how much wheel arch gap was there, could you get your fingers in the gap ?

i think just fitting springs only with that much drop will knacker up the standard  shocks pretty quick

if you're really panaroid about the arch gap then coilovers is probably where you need to be..  iirc there was a guy in Eire who had the low -35 H&R springs, tbh it didn't actually look that low.

here's mine at about down about 35-40mm or so on H&R coilover:

tyre to arch gap measured accurately using finger width.... 1 whole finger and a half 1.  so about 25mm

the ride on the springs were surprisingly softer than I thought they would be. My Eibachs with a lesser drop are stiffer

I think coil overs might be the best way for me to go then, the extra low h&r springs fit all models maybe that's why they are soft, the other h&r springs have different axle weights,

Found it in the for sales section!

I like the stance with the H&R springs.

I was just going to buy the B12 kit as i thought that was the best combination for ride quality and handling but now the H&R maybe a contender if they give a better ride
