Don't have one but I guess it has all the things you want in a hot hatch. It's cheap, it won't far apart after 10.000 miles (unlike a french hot hatch). It looks o.k and most importantly it p-sses off all the BMW drivers when they can't pull away from a Skoda.

Did not think there ever where as many as 40 hot hatches, but i suppose it depends on what they class as a hot hatch.

Indeed... 60k in two years and not a single problem... its far from standard too

as its in the top forty I am guessing its 40th otherwise he would have put top ten or something. I have one by the way before you think I am bashing.

If you look through the Telegraph reviews, theres a copy in there!

When you start looking at all the different Golf GTI's there must be 10 of them atleast... A list of 40 soon comes together...

To me, the (standard) Fab vRS is a car that's pretty fast, the handling compromise is still comfortable, and it's been very reliable (25k on the clocks now, Neo_vr has a headstart :P )

It's IMHO again, not a 'hot' hatch but it's warm It's got it's strengths and weaknesses, great for grunt, less great for those who enjoy revving their engines, and it's shape doesn't help much when you get to three digits

I'm happy with it and with what I am able to do to it to make it more sporty.

toyota starlet, old style rear wheel drive, wouldt say it was hot, but very good fun..
