3rd have issue with front wipers which are when set to intermitten setting wipe once and nothing again when raining it has a rain sensor but need someone to find which part of it is not working without going to skoda and paying out loads to find out the fault.

is there any one near to me in kettering northamptonshire that can help me

cheers Alex

for no. 3, If it is auto wipers there should be a little lever on top of the right hand stalk for the wiper controls? Try moving that futher to the right to turn up the sensitivity. If not, would you like to swap? Mine wont stop wiping even in the finest of spray showers!

Welcome to Briskoda

1. False boot floors are readily available for around the £50 mark from any of the Skoda breakers that advertise on ebay.

2. Have a look here:

There will be someone on this list local to you who will be able to help out.

3. If you have the rain sensors, you don't have "intermittent" wipers, you have "automatic" wipers. The sensitivity of these is controlled by the switch on the top of the wiper stalk. They are known to be temperamental, but the best advice we can offer is make sure the area of the screen by the rain sensor is kept scrupulously clean with a strong solvent such a industrial alcohol or even deodorant body spray like Lynx. Personally I very, very rarely use the auto wipe, I have it on both my Octavia Elegance models, and find the function more trouble than it is worth. I just use the single flick wipe or the normal wipers on low setting.

thanks mike for 1 and 2 and with the rain sensor yes sorry ment auto wipers through vag though could it be disabled and it become a normal intermittent wiper as be so much nicer and easyer if not it only not work when sensor not kept clean or is there other faults in the system that cause the issues
