THE OCTY vRS IS BACK!!!!!

Featured Replies

well almost!!!!

as most of you will be aware my octy vRS was stolen last month. well it's just been found in west yorkshire!!! apparently it's been used in a "serious" crime and the interior is extensively damaged with red dye so i'm assuming it's some sort of bank or security van job!!!!

scenes of crime are going to do the fingerprint thing either oveer the weekend or on monday. i'm told they are snowed under as they have had four other similar crimes in the last two days!!!!

i'll keep posting info as i get it and will also post some pics if i ever get to see the car in person!!!!

adam

Could be ages before you get it back if you never do! I hope it's sorted quickly.

Potentially good news  hope the damage is not too bad, nothing worse than having your car stolen.

Great news, Adam ! or is it? ;)

Her's hopign they stuffed money in the glove box.

not too sure if its good news or not!!!! depends on how much they thrashed the **** out of it. it still may get written off depending on how badly the red dye has damaged it!!! needless to say i'll be as fussy as hell!!!

its still kind of good to know the car is still alive!!!!

adam

At least it's been found, hope the insurance sorts it out swiftly.

Adam, firstly it is good news in a way that it has been recovered,

secondly if it was me I wouldn't want it back giving to the fact it has been used especially for that reason so if you were driving it around it could almost be a 'marked car'

Hopefully & I hope you feel this way, they will destroy it regardless of the damage etc to make sure it isnt a 'marked car' and to remove any future problems you may have + the fact who really wants to drive round in a recovered car, not me personally.

Hope it works out for you either way but stick to your guns and you should get the result you want.

Good to hear you finally found out what happened it.

You wont get that back again (which is probably a good thing really) once forensics have finished with it, it will get put in a sterile storage area to be used as evidence - if they ever catch the crims. Either way you wont see it agian as court cases can go on for years what with appeals etc, and if they dont know who did it they will keep it incase they find out one day!!

My other half works in insurance and says 'if the police haven't already instructed your insurers to pay out, they will do soon'

Hi Adam, glad yours has surfaced !!!. Still no news on mine other than the number

plates in a Luton dusbin. Still chasing insurance co who tell me there is a backlog

in sending out settlement cheques. Funny how theres never a delay collecting

my premium !!!

So there's some crims out and about covered in red dye then! Would have loved to have been there when the bags of money exploded with the dye. :D
