Hi,

 

Recently I had my gear shift lever on my DSG replaced as there was a problem with not being able to lock the car as it thought that it was not in park.  I just recently noticed that at night there is no light illumination on the gear shift panel.  Can someone tell me if their one illuminates.  I can't remember if it originally did or did not.  If it should illuminate then the dealer must have left the wires detached.

The stick doesn't illuminate however the gear indicators do, ie P R N D S.

However there are small downlights in the headlining that do light up the area of the cabin.

Yes, exactly that.

That means I have to go back to the dealer again to get this fixed.  I have no light in the PRNDS area.
